Sam’s Throne was made for sunset views. Our hike will start by admiring the amazing fall colors and end with arguably the best sunset view in the Ozarks. On the hike back we will stop at one of the natural caves along the trail for some s’mores over an open campfire!

It’s fall and Halloween is around the corner? Nothing can be better that a sunset hike and s’mores surrounded by the beautiful Ozarks! Our afternoon will start with an incredible hike through Judea Mountain to reach the breathtaking view of Big Creek Valley from Sam's Throne is waiting for you. This is a relatively easy hike that starts through a saddle ridge and on over to the base of Sam's Throne, where its grandiosity can be admired from down below. We will climb around 330' over a 1.25 mile trail to arrive to Sam's Throne, right before sunset to admire the beautiful vistas and foliage. Here, we will find the perfect and calm spot to enjoy a fall sunset. On the way back, we will stop at one of the natural caves along the trail for some s’mores over an open campfire! .
