Event Details

Summer is one of the best times to see the prairie! Bison and their calves are active and exploring their surroundings. We will start our day visiting the day at the Nature Center at Prairie State Park, where we will learn about these magical animals, before we go out to explore. We will then get on the trail and hike for 2.6 mile of easy but rocky terrain. We will be surrounded by beautiful prairies, wildflowers, and birds. Don’t forget your camera and your binoculars (if you have them) to be able to spot bisons roaming the prairies with their herd. After the hike, we will stop at a local cafe for some great treats and ice cream. We will get back home, amazed by the Ozark’s beauty!
